Evolve Shepherdstown is hosting a 2-week exhibition of works created by well-known local artists during the pandemic:  paintings, photography, sculpture, poetry, and prose.  Along with their works, artists and writers display statements that discuss their creative process during the pandemic and some of the factors that influenced their work:  isolation, despair, reflection, irony, opportunity.  

 

July 22 - 25 and July 29 - August 1, 2021

 

Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 to 7:00 

 

Sunday from 9:00 until the Farmer's Market closes.

Exhibiting artists include

Christian Benefiel, Evan Boggess, Ally Christmas,  Kay Christy, Sonya Evanisko, Lisa Lafferty, Alizah Lathrop, Alexander Taughinbaugh, and Robin Young.
 
During the exhibit, artists will be in Evolve to discuss their experiences and work.  There will be several scheduled artist and writer talks throughout the two-week period of the exhibition.  Specific times and dates will be posted in the window of Evolve Shepherdstown on our social media and website,

We are asking guests if they would share their thoughts about the pandemic in a journal, documenting our community's response to the pandemic through creative expression.
